Yankees couldn’t finish
What they started out to do;
This time they have another chance
To fix this last snafu.

If only life were always thus,
And we could try again
To be the winner every time,
No matter where or when.

How lucky that would be, but still
At least we should give thanks;
Our hope can live another day,
And so I say – Go Yanks!
