All You Need

All you need when you entertain
Is some seating, some food, some booze;
You don’t need caviar or champagne –
Just be careful which friends you choose.

If you’ve chosen well, you can have a blast.
Laughter won’t be in short supply;
And before you turn ‘round, so much time will have passed,
That the time’s come for saying goodbye.

But the smiles linger on from the hours you’ve spent.
