I read some poems of Dorothy Parker;
Some were light but more were darker.
All ingenious, smart and witty;
Few admitting to self-pity.
Words were so adroit and clever,
Expectations she would sever.
Every poet she’d outshine
And her worst poems outsparkled mine.
