Cannes Not

Saw a movie that I hated;
Man, that film was overrated!
Some folks left right in the middle,
Fed up with its nagging riddle.

Cannes bestowed its best award
On this same film which left me bored.
Still, there were amazing actors,
One of its redeeming factors.

There were those, though, in the crowd
Who left the theater, feeling wowed.
Of course, this proves – to each his own;
One man’s rave’s another’s moan.

All Cinephiles should raise a stench –
Such pretense honored by the French!
