When you are in the driver’s seat
You
get to reach your goal
The
way you want; the route you take
Is
one that you control.
The
same applies to journeys
Metaphorical
in scope.
If
you’re in charge and others ask
To
help, you can say, Nope!
Until
you start to realize
What
was easy now is not.
Some
actions may require more
Than
maybe you have got.
There’s
no harm in requesting aid
Though
it is bittersweet
When
age or health decides it’s time
To
leave the driver’s seat.
