When someone gives someone a gift
It
might give the gift giver a lift
Yet
it could be a waste
If
it’s not to her taste
But
to say so may make someone miffed.
For
it’s easy to make a mistake
Though
relationships never should break
If
a present’s not right
To
bring someone delight;
Surely
nothing important’s at stake.
Since
a search for a gift is so hard,
With
so many things you must regard,
Save
the effort next year;
Of
all presents steer clear.
It’s
much easier sending a card.
