The
year is drawing to a close
And
all are hoping, I suppose,
That
once it’s 2021,
A
better time will have begun.
Yet
it won’t happen overnight
For
Covid still retains its bite
And
even with the new vaccines,
We
can’t go back to our routines.
Some
darker days are still ahead -
The
winter filling me with dread -
As
rates of positivity
Rise
up, the proof we’re not home free.
Amidst
these thoughts of gloom and doom,
At
least we can rely on Zoom
To
see our family and our friends
Until the time this nightmare ends.
