Half the Story

Someone stormed off in a huff.
Poof! She up and quit.
Facts like those are not enough;
Must be more to it.

When the story’s cut in half
You’re left out on a limb.
Information from the staff
Won’t help you sink or swim.

Rumors fly, conjecture reigns;
Puzzle pieces scatter.
Often nothing quite explains
What really was the matter.

On the outside, who can tell
What caused the final rift?
Curiosity is hell,
But veils might be a gift.
