My window blinds are very old
And all should be replaced.
I don't like change but finally
Gave in, so I was braced
For brand-new working ones
That could go up and down, as well
As shut to block the sun.
(My old ones didn't - can't you tell?)
The windows had been measured,
Orders made and soon arrived.
Today installers came, but of
New blinds I've been deprived.
Seems the measurements were off
And so the new ones wouldn't fit.
My old ones still can do the job
And I'm just fine with it.
