Eaching

Some owls spend their evenings screeching.
Many blondes spend hours bleaching.
Know-it-alls annoy with preaching.
Tag-alongs survive by leeching.
Social workers try outreaching.
Suntan worshipers love beaching.
Politicians practice speeching
(And occasionally impeaching).
And within me, poems I’m reaching,
Ever since I gave up teaching.
