What You Wear

It doesn’t matter what you wear
But how you feel while wearin’ it,
‘Cause if it’s what you like, then you will
Grin while you are bearin’ it.

The way that someone walks announces
What she sports is pleasin’.
That sprightly spring within her step
Alerts us to the reason.

And someone draggin’ on his heels
Makes apathy his brother
Until he cares enough to trade
His outfit for another.

I often waver ‘tween the two
And settle for so-whatin’
But in my brand-new hat today,
Believe me – I was struttin’!
