Every year, there’s a menorah
As
a neighborhood display,
But
when I walked past, I noticed
It
was missing – what the hey?
So
I went to check it out and
I
was shocked at what I found.
It
was moved from its location,
All
its branches on the ground.
It
appeared to have been vandalized,
Like
others where I live.
Such
a sad and shocking crime,
It
would take effort to forgive.
To
discover this on Christmas,
When
the spirit should bring peace,
Hammers
home the point that hatred
In
this world will never cease.
