Home Delivery

When I wake up and crack the door,
The New York Times awaits;
It’s something I can count on
And what joy it generates!

There’s so much news to savor
And the puzzle hones my wits.
That daily read provides me with
A host of benefits.

For years I trudged out to the store
To get my morning fix
And if I wasn’t home, I craved
The latest politics.

But now with home delivery,
I never miss a day.
The carrier keeps coming
Even if I am away.

It’s really such a luxury,
I think it can be said
It only could be better
If they brought it to my bed!
