When you make a mistake,
Think
of what is at stake
And
decide if it can be undone;
Then
the steps that you take
Might
just give you a break
And
proceed like you’ve only begun.
If
your goof’s set in stone
And
your chances are blown
To
repair any damage you’ve caused,
Suck
it up, for it’s known
To
mistakes we are prone,
So
your life doesn’t need to be paused.
You
might feel like a fool
And
expect ridicule,
But
it’s human to err, goes the line;
Let
your anguish unspool
And
just try to be cool
For
forgiving, it’s said, is divine.
