Parking spots are plentiful
Just
like they used to be.
The
promenade is empty –
On
the benches, only me.
It’s
Passover and Easter;
Folks
are visiting their friends
Or
families to celebrate
Before
the daylight ends.
They’re
either eating matzoh balls
Or
possibly, a ham
With
lots of homemade goodies
For
desserts for all to cram.
I
don’t know what the Easter people
Drink,
but in New York,
We
Pesach* folk drink Manischewitz,
Wine
without a cork.
