Insurance Thoughts

The thing you must know ‘bout insurance
Is it’s giving you lots of assurance
That if something goes wrong
It will help you along
And you’ll live with a sense of endurance.

It’s ironic, though, that you must pay
(Though you hope things will turn out okay)
For those times, just in case,
Yet get smacked in the face
And your plans or your health slip away.

All that money it’s cost through the years
To protect against all of your fears
Won’t seem very well spent
Except, in the event
That disaster leaves you in arrears.
