Sitting on an airplane,
Wanting to complain.
We cannot leave on time because
Of thunderstorms and rain.
Not a fan of danger,
But waiting is a pain.
The stress of being late negates
The safety that we gain.
Just got an announcement -
Lightning's on the wane.
Hopefully, we'll hit the skies
And let the tension drain.
