If we complain
About the rain,
There really isn't
Much to gain.
It may be driving
Us insane
And seem to be
A royal pain,
Yet somewhere deep
Within the brain,
We know it's really
Not a bane.
So let us feign
Some joy from rain.
Complaining leaves
A nasty stain.
If we contain
Our pure disdain,
Perhaps these showers
May just wane.
