Flew to sunny Florida
To pay a little visit.
Usually the warmth, compared to home,
Feels quite exquisite.
Yet today I took my walk
In New York winter clothes,
All bundled in my coat and scarf -
My water almost froze!
The local paper's headlines
Did announce, for all to see,
It hasn't been this cold down here
Since 1893!
I won't put on my bathing suit;
This weather seems unreal.
The love from all my relatives
Is all the warmth I'll feel!
