When Oscar winners make a speech,
They
often thank their mothers,
As
well as castmates, agents
And
a host of many others.
It’s
good to know the sacrifice
Of
moms, and their support,
In
words of winners on the stage
Don’t
often come up short.
I’ve
noticed on some other shows,
When
claiming an award
For
music or athletics,
Winners’
mothers are ignored.
Instead,
the first place finishers
Look
up and thank their god.
I
always think their moms are more
Deserving
of the nod.
