My favorite tennis player’s
Near
the end of his career,
Which
his current match is making,
To
all viewers, crystal clear.
His
opponent, who is winning,
Is
quite nearly half his age,
Making
moves with which the crowd
Is
more than happy to engage.
The
fans are still supportive
Of
my hero, as am I.
There
is talent yet within him
But
the years are passing by.
He
was once a brash young upstart
And
I’ve rooted for him since,
Though
the king someday (not yet!)
Must
pass his title to the prince.
